Please show up at 8:30 to the MPR.  You will be Dotting-in as you participate in the consensus regarding the Intervention Referral Form. Attached is the form Jen Todd sent yesterday that the Intervention Team created.   Here are the concensus statements you are being asked to Dot-in on:   1.  Mandatory Teacher Level Interventions: I agree to ensure that when any child is struggling the following interventions will occur prior to initiating the Intervention Referral form:  1) a conference with me to explain why they are failing, 2) a parent interaction (email exchange, a person to person phone call, or a face to face conference) where I discuss the issues with the parent, and 3) a collaboration with the struggling student’s other teachers to gain insight as to why the student is struggling.   2. Additional Teacher Interventions: As well as the Mandatory Teacher Level Interventions, I agree to implement at least two other interventions. These interventions may include the following: 1) test re-take offered, 2) detentions assigned with teacher where classwork/assignments are completed, 3) teacher tutor outside of class time, 4) make up work offered, or 5) another teacher generated intervention listed by the teacher.   (After everyone has Dotted-in regarding the above two statements, you will Dot-in with the final statement.)   3.  Consensus: It is clear to me that the will of this school has emerged regarding the use of the Intervention Referral Form. The staff has given a mandate to move forward with this intervention referral system and I will agree to participate with my colleagues regarding the above Mandatory Interventions and the Additional Interventions prior to referring a student to the Intervention Coordinator.   As always the continuum is as follows:
